Service Bus & Messaging
Service Bus & Messaging
Durable, asynchronous messaging on Azure Service Bus. We design and implement reliable message-based communication between your services so work is retained and can be processed with at-least-once semantics when appropriately configured, including during high load or component issues, subject to Azure service availability. Messages are stored durably and handled according to configured time-to-live (TTL) and dead-letter policies.
As part of our Integration & API Architecture capability, Hexonova designs and implements security-focused, cloud-native messaging on Microsoft Azure to help keep distributed applications communicating reliably within a shared-responsibility model.
Who this service is for
- Organisations running distributed systems that must keep working through spikes, outages, or downstream delays
- Teams integrating multiple applications and services that need reliable, asynchronous communication
- Government, healthcare, financial services, education, and other sectors with high security and reliability requirements
- Australian organisations that require data residency and security alignment, with solutions deployed to Azure Australia East (or your nominated region) to support those objectives
The problems we solve
- Risk of message loss under high load or system failure, with durable messaging designed for at-least-once delivery semantics and behaviour governed by TTL and dead-letter policies, when correctly configured on Azure Service Bus
- Integration complexity across many applications and services, with a consistent, message-based backbone
- Scalability limitations, by enabling independent send/receive so systems don’t block or wait for immediate responses
- Operational risk and uncertainty, with architectures designed for reliability and security-focused cloud operations
- Data residency and security requirements, with messaging deployed in Azure Australia East (or nominated regions) to support Australian data residency and security objectives; actual data processing and telemetry may involve Microsoft-managed services per Azure configuration
What’s included
- Architecture and design for Azure Service Bus, using queues, topics and subscriptions for asynchronous patterns
- Implementation and integration across your applications and services for reliable message exchange
- Security-oriented cloud architecture and advisory support toward accreditation readiness (no guarantees of certification or accreditation outcomes)
- Deployment targeting Azure Australia East (or your selected region) to support Australian data residency and security standards alignment; actual data handling and telemetry depend on Azure services and configuration
- Monitoring enablement and handover aligned with 24/7 cloud security operations
- Documentation and knowledge transfer so your teams can operate and evolve the solution
How it works
- Azure Service Bus is a fully managed enterprise message broker with queues, topics and subscriptions
- Asynchronous messaging lets producers send and consumers receive independently, so systems continue operating without waiting for immediate responses
- Durable messaging stores messages reliably and supports at-least-once delivery semantics when configured appropriately; messages may expire (TTL) or be dead-lettered based on configuration and are subject to Azure service availability
Why Hexonova
- Australian specialists in security-focused cloud architecture and AI-enabled software on Microsoft Azure
- Experience serving industries with high security and reliability requirements, including government, healthcare, financial services, and education
- End-to-end capability: from cloud infrastructure design and advisory support for security accreditation readiness to AI product engineering and 24/7 cloud security operations
- Architectures designed to be deployed in Azure Australia East (or your selected region) to align with Australian data residency and security standards; actual data handling depends on Azure services and configuration
Outcomes we aim to deliver
- More reliable communication between distributed applications, including during load or component issues, when Azure services are available and solutions are properly configured
- Reduced integration complexity with a durable, message-based backbone on Azure
- Scalable, asynchronous workflows that may help keep services responsive and resilient
- A security-focused foundation aligned to Australian data residency and security standards, supporting your compliance objectives; outcomes depend on your environment and Azure platform configuration
